Question: “How can I join CRN UK?”
Answer: Information on joining CRN UK and the benefits are available on the CRN UK website. You can also download a membership form if you are eligible. In order for us to process your membership form you will also need to supply all the relevant paperwork requested please visit www.crn.org.uk/joincrn.shtml.

Question: “Where can I recycle such-n-such / who will take my do-dah?”
Answer:
- Please use the CRN UK online searchable database. You can search by area and by material or by the item that you wish to recycle or re-use. Visit http://crn.org.uk/search.php
The online database lists all the CRN UK members , if you cannot find a group in your area then you may find the following organisations useful in your continued search:
- If you want to have a piece of furniture or an appliance re-used please visit the Furniture Re-use Networks website. www.frn.org.uk.
- If you are interested in finding a composting group near you please contact the Community Composting Network. www.communitycompost.org

Question: “I am a student / pupil / school, please will you send me information about recycling?”
Answer:
Recycling & resource management is a large topic . The CRN UK represents community waste groups and can answer specific enquiries about community recycling / re-use / waste minimisation projects please email info@crn.org.uk.

Question: “Can you send me any leaflets or freebies?”
Answer:
CRN UK does not send out any resources in paper format. There are documents available to download on our website that focus on community recycling .
Please contact your local authority. They may have leaflets and information regarding recycling schemes in your area.

Question: “I have lost my kerbside recycling box. How do I get a new one?”
Answer:
It depends which local authority area you are in but most of the time if you need a new or replacement recycling box the first port of call should be your recycling officer at your local authority. Contact details for your local authority can normally be found in your Yellow Pages.

Question: “Can you tell me about local authorities and recycling?”
Answer:
Although many of our Associate Members are local authorities we are unable to hold detailed information on them.

Question: “Can I advertise a job vacancy on the CRN UK website?”
Answer:
Yes, Full and Associate CRN UK members can advertise their vacancies free of charge on the CRN UK website. Please complete the form on the jobs pages of the website www.crn.org.uk/about/jobs/main.shtml or email info@crn.org.uk
We are able to advertise other vacancies relating to the community waste sector on the CRN website. Please contact info@crn.org.uk for further information and costs.
Please send details of any jobs to be advertised with plenty of notice. Unfortunately it is not always possible to put the adverts up immediately.
We do not generally email notices of vacancies across the network.

Question: “How do I get an event or training on the CRN website?”
Answer:
The CRN website lists events and training relevant to the community waste sector by month. Please see http://www.crn.org.uk/news/diary/main.shtml#other.
To arrange for your event to be listed please email the details to info@crn.org.uk.
Please allow some time before the event as it is not always possible to put the events on the listings immediately.

Question: “Can you put a link from the CRN UK website to our website?”
Answer: The CRN is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit and community groups involved in recycling, re-use or waste minimisation projects.
One of the benefits of membership is being listed on our website. To check whether you are eligible for membership please check www.crn.org.uk/joincrn.shtml
Unfortunately we are not able to list any other organisation unless they can provide direct support or services to our members.
